Logging in on Mobile

There are two ways to log in on the mobile app: Credential login (slow) and QR code login (fast). To start, install the HVC Mobile app and accept the app permissions. Proceed when you see the screen below:


QR Code Login

  1. Ensure you have your Login QR code readily available. For information on how to get a Login QR code, please see Generating a Login QR Code on Web.
  2. Tap the "Scan Code" button.
  3. Point your mobile device's camera at the QR code, ensuring the entire thing is in frame.
  4. Once the system scans the QR code, a PIN entry screen will appear. Enter your PIN to complete the login process.


Credential Login

  1. If you can't log in with a QR code for any reason, there is a backup option- credential login. This method involves using your email and password to log in- make sure you know them!
  2. At the screen above, enter your domain prefix in the "Enter Organization" box.
Tip: Your organization prefix is the first part of your URL when you connect to the HVC Web portal. For example, if your URL for login is abc.my-hippo.io, your domain prefix would be "abc" and you would enter that here.
  1. Tap Login.
  2. You will now get a popup web browser prompting you for your login information. Enter your HVC login information here and log in as normal.
