Stethoscope Support
Stethoscope Update
As of version 2.1.20, stethoscopes are HVC's first officially supported peripheral.
In order to hear another user in the call using a stethoscope, we advise using headphones instead of computer speakers. The majority of the sound transmitted by the stethoscope is very low frequency, which can often be filtered out by computer speakers.
Windows users: Disable Mono Audio
On Windows machines, for the best experience, we recommend disabling "Mono Audio" which is a setting that is on by default on Windows machines. To disable Mono Audio, navigate to your system settings, then select Sound settings. See the screenshot below for a visual:
On Mobile and Web, assuming you are updated to 2.1.20, there is a new button on the in-call screen: Stethoscope! Pressing this button will search all plugged-in devices, and if a supported stethoscope is connected, it will be selected and "Low frequency sound mode" will be enabled. This will allow others in your meeting to hear the sound output from the stethoscope.

If your stethoscope can be connected as a mic input to either a computer or a mobile device, and it's not listed above, please email support@myhippo.life to get it added to the supported devices list.,
