New Features
Request Assistance from the Sign-in Screen
Call for help without signing in. A Request Assistance button now appears on the headset's sign-in screen. Pressing it (or saying it) places a call to the call list your administrator has assigned to that headset, so a wearer who is not signed in, or is unsure what to do next, can reach the right team immediately.
Only shown when it will work. The button appears only on headsets that have a call list assigned in the web portal's Devices page, so wearers never see an option that goes nowhere.
Easy to identify on the other end. The resulting call is named "Assistance requested: call list name", and whoever answers can rename it from the call screen so it is distinguishable in the ledger afterwards.
Platform Notices on the Headset
Announcements point you to the portal. When a platform notice includes detailed information, the headset shows the headline and tells you to sign in to the web portal to read the rest. Headsets are not a comfortable place to read release notes, so the detail stays on the bigger screen.
Notices no longer repeat every sign-in. Once you dismiss an announcement on a headset, it stays dismissed on that headset. Dismissing on the headset does not hide the notice in the web portal, so you can still read the details there later.
QR Code Scanning
More reliable QR sign-in on Navigator 500. The scanner used for QR sign-in has been updated and has proven reliable in field use. Navigator 500 headsets scan sign-in codes faster and more consistently.
Bugs Fixed
This release also includes a number of fixes based on user feedback to improve the overall stability and usability of the headset app.
