New Features
New Dashboard
The dashboard has been rebuilt around the thing most people sign in to do: get a headset into a call.
Start a Call is on the page. The call form now lives directly on the dashboard instead of behind a "Create Event" link. Choose Call now or Schedule a call and go.
One-click headset summoning. A new Devices panel lists your registered headsets with their hardware shown (Navigator 520, Arc 3, Cimo, HMT and others). Online devices appear first; click one to summon it into a call immediately. Devices you have called recently float to the top.
Call Lists at a glance. Your call lists appear in their own panel, so a group call is a single click.
Live device status. The Devices panel updates in real time as headsets come online and go offline, with offline devices dimmed rather than hidden.
Sign in on a headset from the dashboard. A dedicated button opens the QR sign-in code, so you no longer need to hunt for the icon in the top bar.
Upcoming Events and Contacts sit alongside, each scrolling independently so nothing pushes the call controls off screen.
Event titles are now optional everywhere in the portal. Leave the title blank and the event is named for you (for example, "Meeting with Dr. Patel").
Clearer PIN-protected summoning. When your organization requires a PIN to summon a device, the "who is this call for" picker now shows only people who have a PIN set, with a tip explaining why.
New Ledger Page Layout
The ledger has been redesigned as an archive you can actually search.
See more at once. Cards are shorter and the grid widens to up to four columns on larger screens, roughly doubling the number of events visible without scrolling.
Details open in place. Clicking an event expands a full-width panel right in the list instead of a side drawer that covered what you were reading. Participants and notes sit on the left; Attachments, Logs and Chat are tabs.
Attachments are thumbnails. Photos and recordings show as previews; click one to open it in a viewer.
Watch recordings in the portal. Recorded video now plays in a built-in player instead of requiring a download first.
Search is always visible, and you can now filter by event date range and participants, not just title.
Quick filters for With attachments, Shared with me, and Secured camera.
Headsets are shown by their registered name with device artwork, so a secured-camera event from "ER Bay 3 Headset" reads that way.
Shareable views. The open event and tab are reflected in the page address, so you can send a colleague a link straight to a specific event's logs or attachments, and a page refresh brings you back to where you were.
New Tenant Admin Layout
Administration has been reorganized around what you are trying to do rather than where the setting happened to live.
A sectioned sidebar. Navigation is now grouped into User Management (Users, Roles & Permissions, Call Lists), Settings, and Analytics as its own top-level section.
Settings split into Security and Workspace.
Security: Passwords & Sign-in, PINs & Sessions, and SSO / Identity Provider.
Workspace: General, Calls & Events, File Uploads, and Devices.
The old App Configuration and Auth Configuration pages are retired. Bookmarks to them redirect to the new locations.
Password and PIN policy are each in one place. Password rules and lockout settings sit together on Passwords & Sign-in; PIN rules, PIN lockout, auto sign-out timers and QR sign-in expiry sit together on PINs & Sessions.
Clearer labels. Several settings have been reworded to say what they actually control. For example, the setting that governs screenshots and screen recording in the mobile app is now labelled exactly that, and lives with device policy.
Durations are entered as a number and a unit (minutes, hours, days) instead of raw seconds.
Save appears when there is something to save, rather than at the bottom of a long page.
Assign a call list to a headset. The Devices page now lets you choose which call list a headset should reach when someone presses Request Assistance on its sign-in screen (see the headset release notes).
Retired controls. The Ledger Auto Delete Days field and the Rapid Connect link-expiry control have been removed from the admin pages.
Notification Preferences
Choose which emails you receive. A new Notifications tab under your personal Settings lets you turn individual email types on or off, such as meetings you created, meetings you were invited to, and messages sent to you.
Meeting-starting-soon reminders. Receive a heads-up before a scheduled meeting begins, delivered by email and as an in-portal notification.
Analytics, Rebuilt
Analytics is its own page, with a Dashboard tab for charts and a Data tab for the underlying records.
Peak concurrent meetings for the selected period is shown prominently.
Meetings are identified by name, not by an internal number.
Live filters. Change the date range, user or device and the charts update immediately. No Refresh button.
Ranked breakdowns. "By user" and "by device" views now show who and what is used most, ranked, instead of four stacked date charts that often duplicated one another.
Correct attribution on headsets. When a named clinician signs in on a headset, their meeting time is attributed to the person, not the device.
Calls and Scheduling
Rename a call while it's in progress. The event's name now appears in the top-left of the call screen, and hosts can click it to rename the event. The new name is reflected in the calendar, ledger and analytics.
Skip the device check (opt-in). Returning users can choose to remember their camera, microphone and speaker choices and go straight into calls without the pre-call screen. Anyone can still change devices at any time.
A better scheduling form.
Type a time directly (for example
230,2:30por14:30) instead of scrolling a list of fixed slots. Times can now be set to the nearest five minutes.End-time suggestions show the resulting duration, and the end time follows along when you change the start time.
The date picker is no longer clipped by the edge of the form.
The rarely used "All day event" option has been removed. Overnight calls still work: an end time earlier than the start rolls to the next day.
Tidier in-call notifications. On-screen status pills are sized to their content and the event title pill carries a calendar icon and tooltip.
System Notices
Richer platform notices. When Hippo posts an announcement, the banner can now include a View details action that opens the full text, such as release notes, in a dialog. Multi-line notices display correctly.
Bugs Fixed
This release also includes a number of fixes based on user feedback to improve the overall stability and usability of the web portal.
