How to place an impromptu call on a headset

To start an impromptu call on the headset, first ensure you are logged in. If you see the homescreen (pictured below) you are logged in. In this example, Alex Gallawa is logged in, as indicated by the text at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. If you need help logging in, please see Signing into HVC

Say "Contacts" to open the contacts page
You will now see a list of contacts. You can only call someone who is showing as a status of "Available." A user will be available if they are logged in on Mobile, Headset, or on a Web Portal. This includes if they are logged into the mobile app in the background.
Use the commands "Page Down" and "Page Up" as necessary to scroll through the available contacts.
Once you find the person(s) you wish to call, say "Select" followed by the person's name who you'd like to select. For example, in the image below, we want to call Brent Hopkins and Dr. Johnson. Therefore, the voice commands would be "Select Brent Hopkins" "Select Dr Johnson".

Once the correct users are selected, you can start the call by saying "Start Call". This will advance you to the call preview screen. This will also cause the other participants in the call to be dialed. Their devices will ring, inviting them to join you in the meeting.
The call preview screen allows you to choose some initial settings before you join the call. If the device you are using has multiple cameras, you will be able to choose between them here. If not, you will still be able to mute/unmute your microphone, as well as toggle your video camera.

Once you are satisfied with the settings for the call, say "Start Call"
If the person(s) you called have chosen their settings and accepted the call, you will see their feeds.
